Ground Breaking Ceremony (October 18, 2007)

On Thursday, October 18, 2007, a ground breaking occurred in the Stout Technology Park for the Big Dot of Happiness, LLC, a Menomonie company that specializes in the production and internet marketing of products for baby showers, bridal showers, weddings, birthday and the party event industry.
The Big Dot of Happiness was established in 1999 by Sherri and Scott Yukel in Menomonie, operating first out of their home and presently out of a 6,000 sq. ft. facility in North Menomonie.
The Big Dot of Happiness has established a reputation for high quality service and products that are specialized and unique, creating a company that thrives on creativity and innovation, and has outgrown its current space.
The company will be moving into a new facility in the Stout Technology Park that is being built for them by the Greater Menomonie Development Corporation (GMDC). The GMDC, whose president is Don Williams, is a non-profit economic development entity which serves to promote positive economic development in Menomonie by constructing and leasing facilities to companies and entities, in particular during the expansion phases for businesses, such as with the Big Dot of Happiness.
The facility for the Big Dot of Happiness, LLC is scheduled to be completed in May of 2008, and with the continued projected growth of the company, is being built to allow significant expansion.
